It's Not Over

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but my life has taken some unexpected turns in the last few months. A lot of family issues, and have occurred in since this summer. The events of this summer are something I'll have to be dealing with for a while in my personal life; and while they are difficult for me to accept and live with day to day, they're something I know will make me stronger. I know I've been silent through most of this, except to give support to my sister, and it was because quite honestly, most of the focus has been on other members of my family.
I know my name has come up very rarely during this scandal, but my part in this is more important than most would think. Now I'm not trying to jump into the spotlight, or get my fifteen minutes of fame, but I need to let you know that there is much more to this story.
The focus of this issue was not to "out" my sister in essence, but something more sinister. Certain members of my family have decided that birthright is more important than justice, and have proved this by bringing hatred and unnecessary judgment on some if their relatives in order to protect their favorites. All the while, blatantly shunning the truth. They have lied in the name of religion, and have proved that they have only ever favored one of us. And to protect this one, they concocted a distraction, to destroy the one thing they knew would exact justice: the credibility of someone who knows, who has seen, and heard,  and has experienced, and would have exposed all of them for what they are.
And while they think they have won, they do not understand that the truth will always win, and justice will reign in the end.
This isn't over yet.

My Cutest Audience Yet

This is Sugar. She has quite a musical ear for a kitten. I still haven't managed to teach her to play chopsticks yet, but I will succeed. Hopefully. I don't know. Her claws are sharp. At least she likes it when I play for her. She is such a diva.

Me and Haters

Rainbow

So... the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same sex marriage.

And... I'm gonna say something that has been weighing on my mind for a while now...

ABOUT DAMN TIME!!

Why the Hell did it take so damn long for people to realize that it's OK to love other people? Love! Why did it take this long to decide that marriage is a covenant between two people who love each other deeply?

It's all love.
And Love rules!

So go get your rainbow on!

It's legal! :)

When Life Gives You Lemons...

When Life gives you lemons:

  1. Make Lemonade
  2. Freeze them and fling them right back at life
  3. Squirt Life right in the eye with one
  4. Make orange juice and leave Life wondering how the hell you did it
  5. Chop them in half, juice them, disassemble a Bic razor, and come at life with the juice and blades
  6. Plant the seeds. Grow an orchard. Sell the produce. Become rich. Run shit.
  7. Juice them, add tequila and a pinch of salt. Shots!
  8. Tell Life to get a life, because lemons are a horrible gift.
  9. Squeeze them into life's Cheerios. And watch that bitch pucker up.
  10. Take them to the store and demand a refund

But whatever you do, do NOT take that shit and sit down. Seriously. Who wants lemons sitting around clogging up their space?

Just Gonna Say This....

Just me being me.

Just a word...

Don't be ashamed of who you are. That's your parent's job. If they can't accept you for you, that's their problem. All that matters is that you're you, and you love you. Everything else can deal with itself.
It doesn't matter who says or thinks what about you. No one knows you like you know you. Love yourself. Believe me, it's easier.
It doesn't matter what size you are, what your romantic interests are, what your personal identity is.
It's you. You are you. No one else can change that.
Accept yourself.
That is all. :)

We Hate It As Much As You

So.... You know those phone calls you get if you have a landline telephone asking you to take surveys?
Those calls asking you your opinion of random stuff that usually doesn't pertain to you in the least?

Well, guess who now gets to be the one on the calling end of the line?

Yup. This chick.

Greatest. Job. Ever.
(That was sarcasm, in case you were wondering.)

So this is a friendly request from your friendly neighborhood telephone surveyor (or if you want the official term, "research assistant") to please understand that though, yes, those calls are ANNOYING, please, Please, PLEASE be courteous. Because if you tell me you don't want to take a survey, I'm not gonna make you. And even though you might have received eight calls in one day, I personally can only call you once, and it's not my fault who else calls you.

I understand it's frustrating, but it makes it a lot easier for me to smile and dial. Because seriously, the calls are bad enough, but calls from a pissed off surveyor are much, much worse.

Yes, I know you hate tele-surveys, but someone's got to do this job.

Unfortunately, it's me.

At least it pays the rent.

Love Song

A song I wrote about a year ago. I listened to it again today, and decided maybe it's not too bad.
Hope I was right.

Fakeness

Shaking my head.
It amazes me how fast people are willing to tear down someone who has worked very hard to get where they are. It amazes me how, after all these years, and the civil rights movement, it still comes down to what color someone is. It amazes me how far people will go to tear down someone's feeling of security. How someone will use anyone they can to tear someone down. Not only do they target that person, they have to target everyone they know and love. Not caring about the chaos they leave in their wake. Not caring who, or what they destroy as long as there is ultimate pandemonium in the end.
For something that is making a difference, someone that is making positive changes in this messed up world, why would someone want to stop the good work they are doing? Why would someone want to reverse the positivity that has been created? Why does everything have to come down to race?
       Fakeness.
People say it's fake. Everything that has been created. The unity, the community that has resulted. All the good that has, and people want to tear it down simply because of color.
They say leaders can't have secrets. That leaders can't have private lives with their families. That if there is one miscommunication, then nothing is true.
Some things can't be understood I guess.
But speaking of fakeness, think about the accusers.
You think they don't have secrets?

l.ink: Not Zelda

Most people would call me a nintendo freak. And I am. From Super Mario, to Glover, to Wii Sports, Nintendo is my thing.
My favorite nintendo game of all time is The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time.  I’ve beaten it so many times, that I can play through the entire game in one day now. Everytime I play, I try to comlete a different side quest. For example finding all the pieces of heart, or killing all the Gold Skulltulas. One day, I plan to play a marathon from The Legend of Zelda, through The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, through The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, to Hyrule Warriors. That might actually take me a while to complete, but I’m gonna do it. It’s on my bucket list.
Anyway, I’m gonna go on a little bit of a rant here.
One Halloween, one of my friends dressed up as Link. Who is the hero in The Legend of Zelda. I don’t even remember what I was dressed up as, but I do recall being fairly frustrated with the several people who said, “Oh, cool you’re dressed up as Zelda!”  Believe me, explaining that got old hella quick.
In summary, Zelda is the princess. Link is the blond warrior with the fairy.
I don’t know how many times I’ve had to explain that.
Anyway, I figured I’d sum up my opinion on that matter.
Link is in Zelda. But Zelda is not Link.
Rant Over.
